It really bothers me that a couple of years ago I would have bought a ticket to see a show like the Jonas Brothers or Hannah Montana or whatever that girl goes by now. Not only is she completely self-centered she has absolutely no talent. The only reason she’s even famous at all is because of her father. And lets face it, achy breaky heart? really? I want my mullet back?! What the HELL?! Of course Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana is completely untalented! She doesn’t exactly have it in her genes. But its not like she’s doing any work seriously we have the lovely people at Hollywood records writing the songs for her all she has to do is look good and keep brain washing millions of America’s little girls so they don’t realize how much she actually SUCKS! After all, the only thing that the CEO’s at Hollywood records care about is money! They don’t care about the corruption of millions of little minds. They just want them to sit in front of their T.V. and watch Hannah Montana and make them listen to what they THINK is music but really doesn’t even come close. Of course, it probably is useful to have someone with the IQ of a twelve year old getting up on stage and singing in front of all those girls. That way they’re on the same level, intellectually at least. See, this way all these young girls have something to look up to, a role model. Except that now we’re breeding little sluts each and every one the same, and they’re still letting the media feed them shit about what they should listen to. The music by Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus doesn’t mean anything. The American Population, most of it anyway, deserves to hear something that’s meaningful and sticks to them. Lyrics that make a statement and don’t just support slutty behavior, or say that life is meaningless just because a boy doesn’t like you. Hey, just so you know its probably because you act like Miley Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus is actually not that bad of an influence… If you watch the show she really doesn’t focus on boys much and when she does they treat it like a cute little middle school crush where when you date you hold hands and OMG sit at the same lunch table, NO WAY! Plus she doesn’t dress slutty and she has kissed boys on her show like twice. In her movie she keeps everything really classy actually when it came to boys and they only kissed once… so I think compared to most music and tv shows out there I think Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus is the least of our worries. If anything she just gives little girls false hopes about how easy it is to become big.

clearly your not into mileys stuff. which is totally fine, because your allowed to like what you want. but before you write shit like this know what your talking about. her father was somewhat famous, but that in no way brought on her success. she worked hard to get to the point she’s at, and works hard at what she does everyday. its obviously payed off because she’s worth one billion dollars, i think that shows that she had to have a little talent
dont try and pull a lip synching rumor either, i was backstage at a few of the best of both worlds tours, Another thing, its her hannah stuff that she doesnt write, but thats because thats disneys shit, she just performs it. However all her popular stuff (i.e 7 things, goodbye, G.N.O, start all over, fly on the wall) was written by her. Then in regards to hollywood records, what record company is not there to make money? However, hollywood is not responsible for writing albums the artist is so dont try to say they write her stuff. if you think hollywood is responsible for ‘brainwashing kids’ your wrong again, they promote but universal records is responsible for the distribution of hollywood records PRODUCED cds.

Mmmmkay. You’re right. I am entitled to my opinions. Of course you are too. But I wouldn’t call myself ignorant. I could call you ignorant for believing what you do about Miley Cyrus.
I didn’t say anything about lip syncing….
If that were true they could at least try and get someone talented.
And its not so much her music that pisses me off. Its the lack of lyrical value.
I’m sorry, before I wrote this article I should have done research like I’m doing now. Its obvious that she writes her own lyrics. Because only someone as senseless as her could. I shouldn’t have doubted that! The thing is, I don’t like to spend my time listening to her music. It makes me feel shallow. So yeah, she’s writing her own lyrics, but does that actually prove anything? I was reading the lyrics to 7 things and sometimes its just so evident that she’s reaching. Like she knows what she’s trying to say she just doesn’t know how to say it.
The other problem I have with her was when watching “A Miley Sized Surprise” (which I was watching because The academy is… and All Time Low were on it) It was SO clear that she was completely self centered. She relates EVERYTHING back to her. Just because you’re famous doesn’t mean you have to be a conceited bitch. There are SO many celebrities that aren’t conceited who are completely down to earth. Kate Winslet for instance. Miley really doesn’t have a clue. Look I don’t know her, but I don’t want to either. If there was something that I could see that made me believe that she wasn’t conceited and clueless then I would give her another chance, even if I didn’t like her music, I could respect her. Right now I can’t even say that.

I have watched this show but I got sick of it last year, when it became more geared towards younger girls.
But that’s the thing. In the show she is attending HIGH SCHOOL, not elementary school like (99% of) her viewers. So she has “problems” in the show that they can’t actually relate to! Not only that, but she’s a “secret” pop star! I don’t know about me, but I’m sure every girl under 8 relates to that. Right?

I know this is a rather old post, but I was browsing through the archives and had to say something…one that bothers me about Hannah Montanna is that in order to get into her Pop Star persona, she puts on a blonde wig and suddenly she is a beautiful pop princess. I know its a part of the show, her disguise, or whatever, so she can lead a “normal” life besides being famous…but to me, it doesn’t seem right.
Also, the way her disgusting, slutty myspace photos are written off as “just how teenage girls behave” is ridiculous. I am a teenage girl. I have NEVER felt the need to post pictures of myself online wearing minimal clothing with the camera angled down my shirt, or wearing a wet t-shirt in the shower…And neither has any of my friends, as far as I know. Also, don’t use the “they were not supposed to be public” excuse. If you upload it on the internet, its pretty much public.
The idea that people are so willing to justify it as “how teen girls act” is giving all teen girls a bad name. We’re not all sluts.

yup you are 110 % dead on, and I can’t believe people are actually calling you ignorant for what you write. People all of a sudden dislike people because they have a different opinion…and usually you get hateful commments like you are ignorant or whatever because most people don’t want to see the big picture…the reality. Instead they just wanna see this “innocent” little girl…

this is hilarious, i have to say im not a fan of hannah montana either but then i dont exactly fit into the intended demographic being 21 and all, and yes it is a very basic level of lets face it fairly superficial feminism. but then i cant imagine the writer of this article chaining herself to any railings for women rights or even daring to call herself feminist…. now that just wouldnt be ‘cool’ would it. i gather from the language and lets face it pretty unintelligible points made and i quote ” she actually SUCKS!” that hannah s is most likely still struggling through her teens herself or at least from the tone it sounds that way. of course u are welcome to your opinions and if you want to give a critical analysis then do it dont just sit there and rant like a prissy, whiny moron.

Hannah Montana, I think her and the show are overated as a parent and a grandparent I think her show sends the wrong message. Her new show which aired yesterday I sat and attempted to watch with my 9 yr old grandaughter what is up with that brother of her’s only wanting to be firends with someone to get close to his cousin cause she is attractive and a model. Do people do that yes, is it right no. Why does she have to plot to get her father another loser to understand that she doesn’t like the bedroom he set up for her that it is too young, just tell him. He is an adult he would understand and on his part why does he think she is perpetually three. She has no talent and her father barely does either. I wasn’t fond of thats so Raven but I think the show sent a better message. Yes its only a TV show but what our children see and hear sets the pattern for their future behavior towards others.
