This virgin/whore complex reminds me of something else -Have you ever been to fmylife.com?

It’s a pretty funny website about people telling others about bad things that happened to them. But then you’re allowed to vote on whether “Yea, your life sucks.” or “You deserved it!”

More often than not, no one deserves the horrible things they talk about. But WAY more often the men get the “Yea your life sucks” while the women’s stories get the “You deserved it.”

ESPECIALLY if it has to do with sex, the women will always get a “you deserved it.” Meanwhile men will usually always get the “your life sucks.”

Anyway, it’s still funny but the voting kind of proves that most people around the world buy into that virgin/whore complex. Or equally as bad man/woman stereotypes.

Sorry, slightly off-topic but this article reminded me of that.
