Geez, I hate stereotypes... I admit she's not the perfect FEMINIST role model, but i think it's important to acknowledge women who do really cool things whether they're completely feminist or not. It doesn't always have to be all or nothing. Just because somebody isn't completely feminist doesn't mean they don't represent some feminist ideals. I kept my mind open during the praise of Ted Kennedy because I am aware that in England we hate him as a lying, cheating murderer and that might have tainted my view a little, and I carried on searching. However with this post- unequivocally lauding a saccharine product of pop culture who writes such anti-feminist drivel [honestly, have you HEARD the lyrcis to "Love Story"?!!!] you have lost all feminist credentials in my eyes. What a pity. I don't want to say anything personal against Taylor Swift, so please don't mistake this for an attack on her, but her song "Love Story" makes me despair with every feminist cell in my body and thus I find her a strange candidate for acclaim on a feminist blog.
