Thanks to feministing and reader Ashley S for the tip – if you haven’t seen this yet…well you just have to.
Maybe with more and more content out there in the world like this, more people will begin to understand…I can only hope.

I fell in love with this piece a little while ago – it’s definitely worth watching a couple times. If anyone’s interested in a slightly different, but still awesome, speech is ‘Cocky‘, by Julia Serano.
Also, Bethany Black is an MtF transsexual comedienne who is, IMHO, frankly hilarious. Both those vids should be required watching for people who don’t quite get the whole trans thing, but are willing to learn.

I am trans, and really, this whole thing was just over the top and too artsy for art’s sake rather than really relaying the message. Honestly, I couldn’t even watch the whole thing, it was that annoying.
