Pots Are Sexy…Right?
Possibly the stupidest trend to hit New York since the drop crotch pant, it’s now hip in NYC to sport a pot belly.
Dubbed the Ralph Kramden, this… fashion addition is “too modest in size to be termed a proper beer gut, developed too young to come under the heading of a paunch…”
According to Guy Trebay, journalist for the NY Time‘s Fashion & Style section, the author of this article, and also a complete moran, it’s the in-thing for hipsters and represents “prosperity [...] and [...] freedom from anxieties about body image that have plagued women since Eve.”

Support Women Artists Sunday: Alice Ripley
Alice Ripley is one of my favorite singers of all time. I got the chance to see Next to Normal this past summer, and the entire show was insanely incredible – from the way they handled the topic of mental illness, to the score, to Ripley’s performance — I was so impressed. Oh, yeah, and I’m in love with Aaron Tveit who is also in N2N, but that is only an aside because Ripley is the show. So, this Sunday, it’s all about Alice.
