Ken and Barbie 101
I am going to write about my experience at SDLC, because it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done in my life. But I want to think about it just a little bit more…I want to get it right.
While I’m doing that, here’s a piece by Rafael Casal called “Ken and Barbie 101.” One of my favorite vegetarian feminists, my friend Aubrey, showed me this video and I knew I had to share it.

I loved this. That’s pretty much it.

Am I the only one who finds it amazingly reassuring to see an example of a guy who stands up for feminism? I think society makes it harder for men to stand up for equality between the sexes.
This is amazing. Although I did once see pole-dancing Bratz. So maybe under-age Barbie isn’t that far off. *sigh*

Wow. That’s awesome. And no, Ruthie G, you’re not alone… not alone at all.
I will proudly take my F, too, sir. Huzzahs.
(I need to stop saying that…)

Man – he’s good. I do poetry and music, and this guy has amazing skills with words. Also, I strongly recommend you guys watch the show this is from – Def Poetry – or at least segments on youtube: the poets are AMAZING.

Thanks for posting this, he’s really amazing. As all the posts say above, it is reassuring to see a man defend feminism. Right after seeing this i youtubed him and watched all his other stuff.
